MANILA, THE PHILIPPINES — In September, Leah Darrow and Chris Stefanick spoke to massive crowds in the Philippines on the topic of human dignity and authentic love. What must be known from the outset is that Leah Darrow was raised Catholic, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, and willingly admits that she was formerly a huge proponent of ‘theology of me,’ before a personal St. Paul moment. Before the St. Paul awakening in Leah’s heart, contraceptives from Planned Parenthood, drunkenness on the weekends, and living with her boyfriend, in many ways defined her life. Eventually, the call came from an international magazine to take her modeling career to a global level, which meant $8,000 per day for a salary! (more below)

Before committing to the photo shoot, the magazine told Leah that these pictures are going to be sexy, and edgy; or in other words, not a lot of modesty or dignity. This international magazine brought about some weariness in her life with these pictures that they were proposing to take of her body. As the cameras started clicking away at her figure, Leah’s conscience began knocking on heart, ‘should you be doing this to yourself, is this all you think you are worth?’ So what did Leah do? She ignored her conscience… initially. She committed to the photo shoot.

Even though she knew in her heart that these photos would be reducing God’s brilliant plans for her body-soul union, to a culture driven magazine seeking to profit from what the world considers to be ‘sexy.’ See video for full story.

In the photo shoot, the St. Paul moment came, and God planted a seed for her beloved ‘prodigal daughter’ to come home, back to the heart of Christendom, back to her Catholic roots where she belonged. Therefore, cold turkey, Leah Darrow quit in the middle of this internationally acclaimed magazine’s shoot; a trivial reduction of Leah’s dignity to a few photos for billboards and magazines around the world.

Now, in 2012, Leah is home. She is back to the Sacraments. Truth drives her to stages across the world for Christ’s authentic message of love, hope, and authentic chastity. In listening to Leah’s story, it is obvious and refreshing to see her thirst for saving souls from the dark grasp of the culture. May we all continue to uphold the dignity of human life, in all it’s forms.
