The Nixon Family - March for Life ’12: video 1

The OBS coverage for the 2012 has begun in Washington, D.C. After a 5 a.m. wake up call, the mission caught an aeroplane to the nation’s capitol from Denver International Airport. Leaving 50 degree Denver to a snow covered D.C. will not damper these video missionaries. Right from the get go the footage began to roll in from the Mall and outlying suburbs of D.C. The question always remains, will the federal government listen over these next 4 days to the thousands of Americans standing up for life?

Today’s Story

To date, the federal government has not listened, far from it actually. Attempting to work with this administration has been simply impossible for pro-life organizations across America, that is the general consensus to date. That makes this all the more important, and that is why OBS has traversed the country to find great stories of faith that are standing up to the culture of death under Obama. The first story to roll in from the streets of D.C. is an incredibly faithful Catholic family, the Nixon’s, whom you can learn more about by clicking at the logo below. They are truly a missionary family that has taken a leap of faith to bring the Gospel to the nation; hence the website: www.Nixon-Nation.com. In one night this family won over the support of our team, and we encourage all of you Catholics out there in America and beyond to help this family network with your local parishes and schools to bring them in for a concert and moment of encounter with the Gospel of Christ.

You will not believe the singing skills of the mother in this family, Colleen. There are moments at many concerts when one may question why they put in the effort to attend. The exact opposite happens when you hear Colleen sing. She will blow you away with her voice, which of course, her humble spirit would never claim is her own but simply on loan from God. You can hear Colleen’s at www.ColleenNixon.com. It was Dostoevsky who said, “Beauty will save the world,” our team agrees with that infamous quote. As Catholics, let us support the return of real art to the hearts and minds of Americans. Whatever it takes to bring Ty, Colleen, and little Benedict to your parish for a concert and encounter with God’s hands and feet in the world, OBS strongly supports that support of a young Catholic family.

More stories from the 2012 will be coming to your screens and hearts across America for the next 4 days as the mission of OneBillionStories.com rolls on into 2012!
