RIO DE JANEIRO, BRASIL — Al from Lima has arrived! Yes, we made it to Rio, the entire OBS team from around the world. Annie, Al, David, and Seth, together at last after many many hours in front of screen on skype. Thankfully World Youth Day is an encounter with grace, which equates to miracles every day in the streets of Rio, which we just learned today with Al’s arrival. (read more below)

And the entire OBS team in one location after 3.5 years since our launch, yes, we’ll take that grace and run with it. Run with it from the streets of Rio, cameras in hand, to your computer screens around the world, all for His glory. We all have that grace of God in our lives through our sacramental existence, now we must run. Run to Him.

World Youth Day Rio 2013

Without His grace, we can do nothing. But He needs our Yes, and you, the ‘one billion Catholics’ on earth, rest in your cities, towns, and villages on top of a mountain of grace, awaiting your full and complete Yes to the mission of His Church, the one True Church built upon The Rock. Thankfully, two millennia later, our relationship with Christ has structure, a foundation, and glorious windows into the heart of the human experience here on earth.

Together, the millions of pilgrims who have descended upon Rio de Janeiro for World Youth Day are learning hopefully, but certainly living the Yes of a Catholic life. Now we pray for that Yes in Rio to grow into a Yes back where they journey in this life.

For as Pope Francis asks all the young people to embed in their life the theme of this World Youth Day: “Go and make disciples of all nations…” Let us go together for him who saves us. More vlogs and stories coming soon! Contributor - Seth James DeMoor
